Ambassador discussed Khojaly events with Minister Peter Van Loan

On February 27 Ambassador Armen Yeganian met the Leader of the Government in the House of Commons, Minister Peter Van Loan.

After discussing bilateral parliamentary relations Ambassador Yeganian presented to the Minister the true facts about the Khojaly events. Ambassador mentioned, that it is regretable, that Azerbaijan continues to use this tragedy as a propaganda tool and resorts to wide scale falsification and misleading campaign against Armenians of Artsakh. Ambassador expressed his gratitude for Canada’s ongoing support to the OSCE Minsk Group, which is the main and only format for the resolution of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

At the end of the meeting Ambassador mentioned that Armenia and Armenian people are grateful to Canada for its recognition of the Armenian Genocide.
