Ambassador met the Chair of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development of the House of Commons of Canada

On March 18 Ambassador Armen Yeganian met the Chair of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development of the House of Commons of Canada, Honourable Dean Allison, MP.

Sides discussed inter-parliamentary relations and economic ties between Armenia and Canada. Ambassador noted the considerable rise in the amounts of Canadian investments in Armenia. Armen Yeganian also shared his thoughts on the perspective of the development of bilateral trade, especially in the fields of mining and High-Tech.

They also discussed issues of regional security and Ambassador presented the efforts of Armenia and International community aimed at peaceful solution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

At the end of the meeting Ambassador Yeganian expressed his gratitude for the recognition of the Armenian Genocide by Canada and underlined the unacceptability of denial by Turkey.
