Meeting with representatives of Canadian IT companies

The Armenian Embassy hosted a reception for representatives of Canadian IT companies interested in cooperating with Armenia. The guest of honour at the reception was Mr. Igor Podolski, President and CEO of one of the largest Armenian IT and security systems related companies. Mr. Podolski was on a CIDA-sponsored visit to Canada with the aim of establishing new contacts with the relevant Canadian companies and promoting their more active involvement in one of Armenia's fastest growing and most promising industries.

Based on Armenia's history of advanced scientific research and its educated workforce, the Armenian Government has made Development of high-tech industry one of its major priorities and created most favourable conditions for attracting foreign partners in this field. With the growing interest of Canadian companies to Armenia, IT sector is expected to become dominant in Armenian-Canadian cooperation projects.
