Armenia-Canada Parliamentary Friendship Group established in the National Assembly of Armenia

Armenia-Canada Parliamentary Friendship Group has been established in the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia. The Group currently consists of nine members representing five parties, and is headed by Mrs. Hranush Hakobyan (Republican Party), who is also the Chair of the Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sport.

In messages sent to the Hon. Peter Milliken, M.P., Speaker of the House of Commons of Canada, and Hon. Noël A. Kinsella, Speaker of the Senate, H.E.Mr. Tigran Torosyan, President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia expressed confidence that the Armenia-Canada Parliamentary friendship group will contribute to the further development of interparliamentary cooperation between Armenia and Canada.

The Canada-Armenia Parliamentary Friendship group (CAPF) was re-established in the House of Commons of Canada on June 14, 2006, and is headed by Mr. Gary Goodyear, MP (Conservative-Cambridge). Read more..
