State of Denial World Premiere Starts in Montreal

On March 16, 2012 the Teesri Duniya Theater of McCord Museum, University of McGill in collaborative effort with Concordia University, presented State of Denial by Rahul Varma, which will be on stage until April 1, 2012, five days a week.

The play explores unique connection between the Rwandan and Armenian genocides. It addresses the complex issue of hidden identities, their underground life and struggle in modern Turkey.

The Ambassador Armen Yeganian arrived from Ottawa to support and be present at the opening of the world premiere. On behalf of the Armenian Government he expressed deep gratitude to the author, troupe and all participants of the project.
