The meeting of Ambassador Yeganian with the president of the Canadian Senate

On June 27 Armenian Ambassador Armen Yeganian met the Speaker of the Senate of Canada Noël Kinsella. The main talking point was the inter-parliamentary relations between the two countries. Both sides appreciated the level of relations.

Ambassador Yeganian presented the issue of Nagorno Karabakh and thanked Canadian side for its balanced position on the issue.

Ambassador expressed his gratitude for the resolution of the Senate of Canada on Armenian Genocide and underlined the importance of international recognition and condemnation of genocide.

Upon the wish of the Speaker Ambassador presented the Armenian-Turkish reconciliation attempt, which resulted in the Zurich Protocols. Ambassador underlined that, unfortunately, the Protocols are not being honoured by Turkey.
