Meeting with the Mayor of Gatineau

On December 5 Ambassador Armen Yeganian met Marc Bureau, Mayor of the National Capital Region City of Gatineau.

Ambassador presented the current state of affairs in Armenian-Canadian relations, underlining the importance of high tech cooperation and cultural programmes, that bring the two countries closer.

Yeganian and Bureau discussed issues concerning the activites of the Gatineau-based "Macadamian Technologies" company, Yerevan branch of which currently employs over sixty specialists.

In his turn, Mayor Bureau briefed Ambassador on the programmes implemented by the City of Gatineau.

Both parties stressed the importance of the development of cultural ties on the municipal level .
