Ambassador Yeganian's Meeting with the Chair of the Senate's Foreign Affairs Committee

On April 22 Ambassador Armen Yeganian met the Chair of the Senate's Foreign Affairs Committee Senator Raynell Andreychuk.

During the meeting the sides discussed a number of political, economic and cultural issues. Ambassador Yeganian briefed Senator on the ongoing peace proccess for the settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict. He stressed the importance of the OSCE Minsk Group’s mediatory efforts and thanked Canada for it's support to the Group.

Ambassador also presented the Armenia-Turkey rapprochement attempt and unfortunate retreat from the agreed Protocols by Turkish side.

At the end of the meeting Armen Yeganian expressed gratitude for Canada's recognition of the Armenian Genocide.
