Events Dedicated to the 23rd Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Armenia in Canada

On September 22 the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia to Canada hosted a reception on the occasion of the 23rd Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Armenia.

Among the guests of the reception were the Minister of Employment and Social Development and for Multiculturalism of Canada, the Honourable Jason Kenney, the Chairman of Canada-Armenia Parliamentary Friendship Group, the Honourable Harold Albrecht, members of Parliament, diplomatics corps, representatives of non-governmental organizations, journalists and members of Armenian Community.

Ambassador Yeganian offered a speech on the latest developments of the Armenian-Canadian relations, the high-level visits, strengthening economic ties.

Afterwards, Minister Jason Kenney addressed the audience presented his insights from the visit to Armenia, and the Chairman of the Friendship Group Harold Albrecht talked about bilateral Armenian-Canadian relations.

Events dedicated to the 23rd Anniversary of the Independence of Armenia also took place in Canadian cities of Montreal and Toronto.
