Cultural Event in Canada

On October 3rd the recital of renowned saxophonist Hayrapet Arakelyan, accompanied by pianist Lolita Poghosyan, took place at the Embassy in front of full audience.

Hayrapet Arakelyan is a laureat of number of international competitions. He has performed with world-renowned orchestras, such as Boston Symphonic Orchestra, Vienna Radio Symphonic Orchestra, Russian State Chamber Orchestra and others.

Before the recital Ambassador Armen Yeganian touched upon rich Armenian cultural traditions and underlined the importance of presenting young Armenian talents to the foreign public.

Musicians played pieces by French, German, Argentine and Armenian composers. Diplomats, members of non-governmental organizations and the Armenian community attended the event.

Hayrapet Arakelyan also performed solo concerts in Toronto and Montreal.
