Meeting of Ambassador Yeganian and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada John Baird

On December 22, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada John Baird received Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Canada Armen Yeganian.

During the meeting, the sides discussed works on the development of bilateral relations in 2014. The importance of mutual visits was stressed, including the visit of Jason Kenney, Minister of Employment and Social Development and Multiculturalism of Canada and, later on, that of the delegation of the Parliament of Canada to Armenia, as well as visits of the delegations of National Assembly of RA and Defense Ministry to Canada.

Parties commended cooperation within international organizations, particularly in the International Organisation of La Francophonie.

A wide range of issues on the Armenian-Canadian cooperation in 2015 was touched upon.
