Event Dedicated to the Centenary of the Armenian Genocide in Toronto

“Blood for Memory” initiative commenced in Toronto on April 12 dedicated to the 100-years Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. The initiative is organized by Armenian Canadian Medical Association of Ontario in cooperation with Canadian Blood Services.

The aim of the initiative is to gather 1.5 million pints of blood in 2015, symbolizing the number of the victims of the Armenian Genocide. “Blood for Memory” started at the Armenian Centre of Toronto. Armenian Ambassador to Canada Armen Yeganian opened the event and was the first to donate blood.

The initiative is set to continue in other cities of Canada.
