Jim Karygiannis Awarded with Mkhitar Gosh Medal

The Embassy of the Republic of Armenia to Canada informs, that by the Decree of President Serzh Sargsyan Canadian politician Jim Karygiannis has been awarded with Mkhitar Gosh medal for his substantial input in international recognition of the Armenian Genocide.

Jim Karygiannis has been the Liberal Member of Parliament for Scarborough-Agincourt for 25 years. Mr. Karygiannis has been the Vice-Chairman of Canada-Armenian Parliamentary Friendship Group, has had a big impact on the recognition of the Armenian Genocide by the Parliament of Canada. The first Canadian MP to visit Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, Karygiannis observed the 2012 NKR Presidential Elections.

The staff of the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia to Canada congratulates Mr. Karygiannis on receiving Armenia's highest honours awarded to foreign politicians.
