Fundraising in Montreal for Armenian Genocide Centennial Commemoration

The inaugural fundraiser for Armenian Genocide Centennial commemoration events in Canada took place in Montreal on November 16 under the auspices of the Armenian Ambassador to Canada.

In his speech Ambassador Yeganian underlined, that genocidal intents are still intact and were manifested in the destruction of Holy Martyrs Armenian church and museum of Der Zor by the terrorists of Islamic State.

The publisher of The California Courier, renowned activist Harut Sassounian was present at the fundraiser and presented a detailed report on eliminating the results of Metz Yeghern.

About 400 people participated in the event and over $150.000 in Canadian funds were raised.
