Holy Mass Dedicated to the 26th Anniversary of Spitak Earthquake in Toronto

A memorial service for the victims of 1988 Spitak eartquake was served at the Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church of Toronto on December 7 by newly ordained primate of the Armenian Diocese of Canada Bishop Abgar Hovakimian.

Armenian Ambassador Armen Yeganian, Conservative Member of Parliament Joe Daniel, Primate of the Armenian Doicese of Romania Bishop Datev Hagopian, many Canadian-Armenians were present at the mass.

In his address Ambassador Yeganian spoke about international relief response to the December catastrophe, humanitarian participation of the Armenian communities, strengthening of Diaspora-Motherland ties and the continuous efforts towards coping with the outcomes of the disastrous earthquake.

MP Joe Daniel voiced the condolences of the Prime Minister of Canada.

Memorial services for the victims of Spitak earthquake were served also in other cities of Canada.
