Ambassador Yeganian participated at the event dedicated to the 35th Anniversary of the “Horizon” weekly

On November 1, Armen Yeganian, the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Canada, participated at the event dedicated to the 35th Anniversary of the “Horizon” weekly in Montreal. His Eminence, Bishop Meghrik Barikian, spiritual leaders, social and political figures, journalists, numerous representatives of the Armenian community attended the event.

In his speech, dedicated to the anniversary of the “Horizon” weekly, Ambassador Yeganian emphasized the special role that newspaper has acquired during 35 years of its existence, being read not only by Canadian-Armenians and Canadians, but also by Armenians and foreigners living in different corners of the world.

According to the Ambassador, it is the proof that the weekly is a success and also that its editorial staff achieves its goals by daily hard work. During the event Ambassador Yeganian awarded the Editor-in-Chief of the “Horizon” weekly Vahakn Karakachian with the Embassy Award for his devoted and tireless service to Armenian Nation.
