Opera Music Concert at the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia to Canada

On February 11, Embassy of the Republic of Armenia to Canada hosted an opera music concert attended by more than 80 guests, representing Canada's diplomatic corps.

Renowned Canadian opera soprano Sasha Djihanian, talented tenor from Montreal Elie Berberian, famous choral conductor and pianist Gohar Manvelyan performed during the concert, held in the framework of “Cultural Crossroads” program, initiated by Maria Yeganian, spouse of the Ambassador of Armenia to Canada. The program’s aim is to promote and present talented Canadian-Armenian artists to Canadian and international audience.

In his closing remarks after the concert Ambassador Yeganian thanked three renowned artists for offering an unforgettable evening to the guests, and noted that similar concerts in the framework of “Cultural Crossroads” program, which started three years ago, will continue and shall find their unique place in the cultural life of Ottawa.

The concert featured works by Sayat Nova, Komitas, Babajanyan, Puccini, Dvorak, Cardillo and others. All performances were warmly welcomed by the audience.
